We thank those who have already submitted their donations for the benefit of Saint Gabriel School, and we ask that you please do so by tomorrow. A donation of $10.00 or more will qualify a student to be eligible for our grand prize raffle. This is a dress down day and the Saint Gabriel T-shirts or gym uniforms may be worn. Children may bring their own bottles of water. Baseball caps and hats may be worn during the walkathon. My suggestion is for the students to wear their gym shorts. It can become very warm when we are walking outside in the yard.
Tomorrow 5/25 will also be half day. We dismiss at 11:30am. This same half day schedule will be followed June 3rd, 16th, and 17th.
When the students return, the final exams will begin. I believe the students have enough pressure so I will try to make the exams fair and a reflection of the skills they learned this year.
The exam schedule is as follows:
May 31st: ELA Reading comprehension final (this will be two grade level Readworks) Students cannot study for this but may review my notes of how to write a comprehensive answer citing evidence for the short answer responses.
June 2nd: Math
June 6th: Science: This will be a Common Lit article reflecting our topic on Pollution and the Environment.
June 7th: Religion: I am working on a study guide.
June 9th: Social Studies
Wednesday, May 25 - Walkathon! 11:30 Dismissal
May 26th, 27th, and 30th : School Closed
