Grade 5 is back from Easter Break and ready for the home stretch! In math, we will start the 4th quarter with converting metric and customary untis before heading into the fascinating world of line plots and data!
We are reading author Chrisropher Paul Curtis' classic "The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963." We will start out writing process and develop thesis statements.
In Religion, we are diving into the Sacraments of Service.
We continue to be wowed by Discovery Science and Social Studies.

Students in 5th Grade must complete five Achieve 3000 reading articles a week. Achieve 3000 helps improve reading skills and helps prepare the students for the New York State English Language Arts Assessment. The students were given their login information and passwords. They will receive a weekly Achieve 3000 grade, so that they may access their progress with reading comprehension and fluency.
