MAP testing will commence tomorrow. There is no way to study for the test. A reminder that MAP gathers information for the educator to create learning plans and personalizing instruction for all students. MAP data informs the educator what each student knows and what they are ready to learn next. In doing so, it allows for student's growth in relation to the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards as well as college and career readiness goals.
Students should be well rested and have a hearty breakfast. The students will be tested in pairs starting tomorrow until all the students have been tested.Questions and concerns, please email me.
Thanks!

Dear Parents,
1st and 8th Grade Buddies
A long standing tradition has returned to St. Gabriel’s, 1st and 8th Grade buddies!
A brief overview:
The 8th and 1st grade are paired. Depending on the size class, there may be two buddies per 1st grade student. 1st and 8th grade Buddies have several activities during the school year together, starting with the Welcome Party on Friday, September 30th, 2022. It will be held in the school yard, in the afternoon during school hours. Both Mr. Mc Carthy(the 8th grade teacher) and myself will be supervising. Individual snacks will be provided. All Covid precautions have been taken for a fun-filled afternoon.
Please provide your child with a beach towel or small mat
to be used for some of the games. Your child will return home with the towel or mat.
It is important to know if there are any allergies such as latex or food allergies. It is important to know if your child has trepidations about face painting, balloons, clowns or anything else that may require awareness.
Have a great day!
Mrs. Seminario
